Katvig – Stribes and colours for children.
Katvig clothing for kids was started as a small company in 2003, which in just five years has grown throughout Denmark's borders with the special and contemporary designs for children. Katvig wants to attract fashion conscious parents and the Katvig collection with the classic stripes and apple print is now being worn by children of all ages. The special design from Katvig in strong colours and with characteristic patterns is really unique in today’s world of “Children’s clothing”.
Today, 2007, Katvig is one of Scandinavia's leading children's wear labels and the clothing is much more than stripes and apple prints.

Katvig's designs are courageous and dare to be unique. The methods of production are being refined. We are actively looking at all areas of production to eventually attain manufacturing processes that are as green and sustainable as possible. It applies to everything from environmentally friendly fabrics, sustainable choice of materials, hand tags, bags and boxes, and the recycling of boxes for dispatching products.
The production of the products is done by using some of the best materials and in 2006 Katvig was awarded top points in a test performed by the Danish “Consumer magazine – Taenk”. The test was looking for the ability to wash and maintain colours, shape and durability.
Katvig start and history.
It all started back in the year 2003 in an old attic where Katrine Collette and Vigga Svensson were searching for some old clothes to sew into some new designs. They found an old duvet cover and fell in love with its colours and pattern – this was the first step towards creating Katvig. The pattern from the duvet cover is today the basis of the Katvig logo.
This was the kick-off day for Katvig (Katrine + Vigga = KatVig) and the first designs were made from the inspiration the 2 friends had from the attic and the duvet cover, and this design is still what Katvig is known for and is the mark of the Katvig products.
The designs of children’s clothing.
The clothing for children is based on the non-complex design from the 1970’s, and the materials used for the clothing are corduroy, velour, jersey cotton and denim.
Katvig is especially known for their special designs such as the apple print, the cotton wear collection, rainwear and bedding amongst other things as well as the fresh and strong colours they use.
Twice a year a new collection is launched, with the basis of creating clothing to customers aware of fashion, and Katvig has succeeded in creating a special brand that is well known all over Scandinavia. Katvig is today well know in Denmark and the rest of Scandinavia for their quality and special designs and is now looking for new horizons.
